Mac Gargan was willing to do anything for money. He started off as a private investigator for J. Jonah Jameson before agreeing to an experimental surgery. Gargan became kind of a tragic figure who wishes he could undo the procedure.

A Hollywood special effects maestro, Quentin Beck decided that there would be a lot more money in using his abilities for crime. And he has been a formidable for for Spider-Man and he had a prominent battle against Daredevil.
11. Wilson Fisk – Kingpin

Wilson Fisk was first introduced as a for to Spider-Man in the classic Amazing Spider-Man 50. And while he has been a major thorn in Spidey’s side and one of Marvel’s best characters, he is more of a foil for Daredevil these days.
10. Michael Morbius – Morbius

A renowned biochemist, Michael Morbius becomes a living vampire after an experiment wrong and takes on a six-armed Spider-Man in a classic issue. The vampire would later change his ways and become an anti-hero.
9. Kraven the Hunter

Sergei Kravinoff is a famous big game hunter who has decided that Spider-Man is the ultimate prize. After several battles over the years, Kraven was killed off in a famous storyline only to be resurrected. His most recent appearances in comics came in The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl II.
8. Cletus Kasady – Carnage

As if fighting Venom wasn’t impossible enough for Spider-Man, he had to deal with an even more dangerous and psychotic version when the original version of the symbiote bonded when Kasady shared a cell with Eddie Brock.

Many of Spidey’s villains had something that made them special before going bad, but Aleksei Sytsevich, a basic Russian thug who volunteered for experimental surgery, was kind of dumb. Still, his massive strength and powers makes him a force to be reckoned with.

Once an electrical lineman, Maxwell Dillon becomes an electrical capacitor after a lightning accident. Thanks to his dangerous power, he becomes a foe to both Spider-Man and Daredevil. Even Magneto took notice, though Electro turned down his offer to join the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

Peter Parker once looked up to renowned scientist Otto Octavius, only to see the Doctor, who added metallic arms in an accident, become one of his most terrible foes. Doc Ock even showed that he could do Spidey’s job in the Superior Spider-Man.

Spidey got one of his very best villains in the 300th issue of the Amazing Spider-Man line. Disgraced reporter Eddie Brock teamed with an alien symbiote discarded by Peter Parker and became an unstoppable foe who would later turn sort of good.
